Harmony Energy CEO named Green Leader at Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2025

Harmony Energy CEO, Peter Kavanagh, has been recognised as a Green Leader at TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2025. The award celebrates his leadership in driving Harmony Energy’s growth and impact in the renewable energy sector.

Under Peter’s leadership, Harmony Energy has achieved significant milestones, including:

  • 634MW / 1.2GWh of battery energy storage projects energised across 17 UK sites
  • Expansion into France, Poland, Italy, Germany and New Zealand
  • Storing tens of thousands of clean energy and reducing tonnes of CO2
  • 77 in-house employees supporting the delivery of a more resilient, home-grown energy system, with hundreds of jobs generated during the delivery of projects
  • Donating over £100,000 to community initiatives and charities in the past year
  • Embedding Biodiversity Net Gain into every project
  • Contributing over £1 million in Business Rates over the past four years

These achievements highlight Harmony Energy’s commitment to building a more resilient and sustainable energy system while making a positive impact on communities and the environment.

The Yorkshire Leadership Awards, which took place on Thursday 20 March at The Royal Armouries in Leeds, was created to celebrate people who are role models within their organisations, and raise the bar for their competitors, highlighting extraordinary leaders across the county.
