Developed by Harmony Energy and owned by Harmony Energy Income Trust, the multi-award winning Pillswood battery energy storage system, was Europe’s largest by MWh at the time of launch.

Pillswood stands as the flagship project under owners Harmony Energy Income Trust and the developers at Harmony Energy.

It debuted as a game-changer, claiming the title of Europe’s largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) by MWh. Today, it continues to be a source of sustainable power, with enough energy to power approximately 300,000 homes for two hours.

Pillswood’s launch made headlines around the world including a feature in the BBC and Open Access Government.

Since its launch in November 2022, Pillswood’s BESS has consistently ranked among one of GB’s top-performing BESS facilities. It has garnered accolades, including prestigious awards such as the Energy Storage Awards and the Solar & Storage Live Awards in 2023.
